Decision Support
- Executive Management Systems
a. Cost Accounting
Cost accounting
is one of three decision-support functions that make up the
Administrative Management system. First, the system allocates and
distributes costs across department and product lines to measure
profitability and to support planning, negotiations, and targeted
intervention. Second, it develops organizational budgets and
short-term financial projections to model decision alternatives.
And third, it reports and analyzes financial and statistical
performance.

Contract Management
The
Contract Management system integrates knowledge-management and
decision-support capability to administer health plans and provider
contracts online. Contract
profiles contain key data abstracted from each contract plus
historical assessments of contract performance.
Integrated checklists and templates support and ensure timely
execution and/or review of all contract provisions.
A file attachment capability enhances information sharing,
staff training, and strengthens accountability.
c.
Knowledge Management
The
Knowledge-Management system maximizes operating and economic
leverage. It is supported by Survey and Action Management software
that targets opportunities and converts them into enhanced
performance. Web-based surveys are developed and administered for
applications ranging from patient satisfaction to contract
performance and risk management.
Prompted by assessment results, perceived opportunities
and/or imposed requirements, organization-specific action plans are
initiated and administered online for projects ranging from
simple-department specific programs to enterprise-wide initiatives
such as marketing campaigns, strategic plans and budgets, and
accreditation surveys.
